Yeah, so, it's been a while, I didn't mean to leave it this long. The war's over, they've still not found any weapons. I'm on the New Deal. Dancing Display season has started up again. It's all fun and games, really...

So, New Deal. Getting people into work by giving them the skills necessary to do jobs, then paying the employers to take them on. It doesn't seem to be of much use to people like me, it's designed for folk that left school with nothing at all, but I'm on it anyway and I was sent on a course. It was a very rubbish course about how to get a job. Anyway, now I'm looking at doing voluntary work for a local project that handed out 1500 computers. This is related, in some way, to the kind of work I want to do because I get to get some experience in IT support. It looks as though I'll probably be able to do that as one of my New Deal "options". (the other options seem to be cutting grass for the local council)

Dancing displays! They're fun! Honest, guv... Watching little children try to dance... But hey, the CMS gets a lot of money from us doing the lighting, and it gets me out the house, even thought it isn't that exciting. We're right in the middle of it at the moment, with about 2 or 3 weeks of displays every other day.

Well, hopefully I'll not leave it as long next time!
