Last night was amazing! Neil, Jamie and myself were lighting a dancing display in Clydebank and then we went to the pub for a couple of Brus afterwards, but on the way home from the pub we saw lightning over Dumbarton. Now, for us here in the west of Scotland lightning is an EXTREMELY rare event so we drove up to Neils house and sat and watched the lightning pass over Dumbarton. The highlight was when we saw a strike and started counting but before we reached one second the thunder came... We figure that it probably struck in a field just 300 meters from us. :)

After that we chased it up the vale, ended up in some REALLY heavy rain and then followed Neils directions and ended up away out near Drymen. This was over 2 hours since we first saw the lightning (it was about 2AM by this time) so we left the lightning to its stuff and headed home.

So there you go. These are the things that excite us. :)
