Hey, it's Craigs birthday today! Happy Birthday! (Tho I don't think he knows about this....)
Cableinet is getting worse, just getting connected between 7 and 10 is bad enough but when you lose the connection every 25 minutes in addition to not being able to connect you have to wonder if it's worth it.... Actually, it IS worth it, I stayed on for about 4 hours on Sunday in one go.
This personal website thing seems to have taken off, Alisdair has one at www.wasters.org, Fugee has one at www.fugeela.dircon.co.uk and he's got links to another few. None of those are quite as basic as mine though, I'm a pioneer, man!
I'm reading Virtual Light by William Gibson just now, it's pretty good. There's some strange parallels between it and Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson though, but nothing that really makes you think ones a copy of the other.
I see altavista are now doing an 0800 system, perhaps that will take some of the load off of Cableinet... Here's hoping...
