There was a computer fair on at the SECC yesterday so my Dad sent me to get a new hard drive. Neil went with me. When we got there we came up with this idea that we could build ourselves a little Linux box to run Quake2 servers on. we ended up buying an AMD K6 233 (25UKP), a PCChips Socket 7 Mobo (37UKP) and some other cheap stuff (keyboard, linux sticker....). So we built it and surprisingly it was all working with very little effort required. We stuck Linux on it and that worked no probs except that it doesn't talk to the network, it doesn't even ping. The card appears to be working fine and I think the drivers and so on are working fine. I suppose this give me something to play about with for a while. In other news, Douglas has gone into hospital to start his treatment. He will probably be in there for a while.
