A long awaited update
Well, it’s probably not really long awaited…
idiocy.org
I’ve updated idiocy.org to use Hugo instead of basic Org Mode as I just much prefer it. I really stopped updating the site because it was just such a huge pain. Handily Hugo supports the org file format (mostly) so migrating the pages was all pretty simple.

news.idiocy.org has been almost entirely rewritten in ruby and is working great. I implemented some caching stuff so it doesn’t have to download the rss files every time, and reduced the update time to once an hour, because I really wasn’t reading it that often.
I’m quite happy with it just now.
I’m wondering if I should try setting up cgit to publish it and some other wee bits and bobs I have. I could just throw it all up on Github, but that feels like making it too easy for the LLM people.
